We sometimes forget how much we are loved. The Great Divine desired each of us into existence. (After all, you are here reading these words). We are wanted, and we are loved. This, if remembered daily, reshapes how we think, speak, and act.
Every day, I try to meditate in the sunshine. I allow the sunlight to fill my mind, heart, and every cell of my body. Love shines through the light and fills my spirit. Quietly, I sit, inhaling and exhaling the light. I think about how much I love the Divine, and from there, I send light and love to my family, friends, pets, clients, students, the earth, and humanity. I feel so blessed, so happy, that I overflow with light-love energy. In this blissful state, my brainwaves are changed to alpha frequency. When our brains operate at alpha frequency, we are more likely to be patient, giving us more control over our thoughts, speech, and actions. This power of discernment is emotional wisdom or divine love.
When it’s my time to leave this planet, I want to leave behind love, kindness, and goodness. I choose this over everything else simply because I desire to do so. This endeavor will have its share of mistakes, due to my learning process; however, I’ve resolved to keep trying each day. I know it’s difficult, but prioritizing love brings me inner and outer joy and peace.
When I use the term love, I am speaking of a divine love rather than romantic. They are different. Most of the time, romantic love is complicated full of attachments and expectations. Divine love is truth, wisdom, compassion, kindness, goodness, discernment, discipline, honor, acceptance of what is, and nonattachment, so this too is complicated. Both expressions of love offer growth and can blend. However, divine love provides a significant benefit: enhancing the quality of romantic and family love, so remember to embrace divine love each day. It’s always available.
In love and peace,
Dana
